The Iowa Pro Gaming Challenge (“TIPGC”) was hosted by Jet Set Studio in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend(March 17-18 2012). As a proud partner of TIPGC the past two years, we were excited to see over 50 4v4 Call of Duty: MW3, 4v4 Gears of War 3, and 4v4 Halo: Reach teams converged to compete for over $10,000 in cash and prizes at this third annual event. In fact, Iowa’s largest newspaper, the Des Moines Register showcased TIPGC 2012 as their TOP NEWS on Monday morning with this online article and included a great photo of GUNNARS in action (pictured) on the TIPGC Main Stage as well.

GUNNAR Optiks fueled each division’s prize packages, various raffles, a special discount code for our online store, and numerous giveaways on the Twitch.TV live stream, which received over 550,000 online viewers during the two-day event.

The Tournament Director and owner of Jet Set Studio, Ben McDougal, had this to say: “GUNNAR Optiks were once again critical in not only this event’s overall success, but were definitely a fan favorite as well. Through this entire video game tournament, anytime GUNNARS were up for grabs, people were hyped.”
