The League of Legends Charity Stream

The League of Legends Charity Stream, hosted by Curse Gaming, is a 24-hour charity stream event designed to benefit Extra Life and Seattle Children’s Hospital. A celebration of eSports and the future of professional gaming, the event will take place at the Curse Gaming house in Beverly Hills.

Curse and GUNNAR will donate all streaming revenue to charity!

During the event, Curse teammates Westrice, NyJacky, Elementz, Saintvicious, Cop, and Pluto will compete head to head in a series of challenges designed to showcase the talent, tips and tricks of various professional players and content creators within the community.

The event will consist of a skills competition, a professional player showcase, a League of Legends professional match exhibition and open community discussion about competitive gaming via the live video stream located on Own3D TV.

The Teams

Team Curse

Team Curse was first created by LiQuiD112 in 2010, when the team was originally named Team XXX. The team first received a sponsorship from unRestricted eSports. After qualifying for MLG Raleigh in August 2011, they obtained a sponsorship with Curse, and renamed to Team Curse (Crs). In February 2012, they held their first major tournament The LoLPro.com Curse Invitational which coincided with the launch of their League of Legends website, lolpro.com.

Team Solomid

Team SoloMid is a North American eSports Team, created around the community website SoloMid.Net by Andy “Reginald” Dinh and Dan “Dan Dinh” Dinh in September 2009. The team was first seen in early 2011 after being formed to participate in the Season One Championships later that year. The organization picked up their second League of Legends team on May 11th, 2012 when they acquired Epik Gamer,now named “Team SoloMid Evo”.

Team CLG

Counter Logic Gaming is a North American eSports organization that was founded in April 2010 by George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis. In December 2011, CLG picked up a corresponding European squad, Counter Logic Gaming EU. They currently sponsor three League of Legends teams, including a second American team, Counter Logic Gaming Black, and a DOTA 2 team.

Team Dignitas

Team Dignitas is an International e-Sports team which is headquartered in Great Britain. It was founded on September 9th, 2003 as a fusion of the Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix. Later on, more teams were added to the organisation, and in July 2004 Team Dignitas was registered as a company – Team Dignitas Ltd. Michael “ODEE” O’Dell is the current Managing Director of Team Dignitas. In addition to their League of Legends team, Team Dignitas also sponsors teams and players for Battlefield 3, Counter Strike, Fifa, various fighting games, Quake Live, racing games, and StarCraft II.

Team Dynamic

Team Dynamic is a United States based multi-gaming organization that sponsors players for League of Legends, Counter Strike: Source, and StarCraft II.

Team Orb

Orbit Gaming is a multi-gaming eSports organization. The organization currently only supports a League of Legends team, but they are looking to slowly expand into Dota 2, Counter Strike and Starcraft II.
