As a writer, I spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen. Seriously folks, the hours of research, fact-checking, and writing can really put a strain on the eyes. Then I have the nerve to jump on a video game and play for countless hours on end. Did I mention I wear contacts and I’ve worn glasses since I was eight?

It’s okay for right now because I’m still relatively young, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be paying the piper in my old age. And lets not get into how badly I treat my hearing with my love of heavy bass, crisp highs and mids. At the end of the day, hours peering into a comp screen combined with prolonged contact lens wear leave my eyes drier than Las Vegas in the dead of summer.
