The purpose of the Gunnar Optiks is to reduce eye strain for digital users. There is a small magnification to slightly enlarge font size on the computer. The glare of the screen is reduced. When relieving eye strain, migraines can be prevented.

For as long as I could remember I experienced eye strain, migraines, and even would get blood shot eyes when using the computer for long periods of time. Sometimes I would pass off my migraines thinking I was just dehydrated or didn’t have enough caffeine. Of course, this could have been true sometimes but I started to notice a pattern.

I was getting migraines that no sleep, water, pain reliever, or caffeinated drink could fix. Then I noticed it happened on the days I would spend extensive hours writing, editing, or playing a game on the computer.
